The Department was a key sponsor of the Australian Technologies Competition 2025, where Rux Energy won the Clean Energy section. 

Achievements like these are only possible because of the dedication of our exceptional team, the support of our partners, and the broader Australian innovation ecosystem that continues to back deep technology.

At Rux Energy, we’re tackling one of hydrogen’s biggest challenges: making storage safer, more efficient and more affordable. By using advanced metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), we’re helping unlock the potential of green hydrogen with low-pressure, high-density storage that can significantly reduce costs while improving safety.

Just as importantly, sustainability extends beyond the end product. Our water-based manufacturing process avoids harmful chemicals, enables material reuse, and supports the principles of Australia’s Circular Economy Framework by reducing waste and lowering environmental impact.
