The 2026 World Hydrogen Summit was held from 19-21 May in Rotterdam, one of the industry’s largest and most influential gatherings for the hydrogen sector. The event brings together global leaders, innovators and industry partners who are shaping the future of hydrogen.

Rux Energy Founder & CEO Dr Jehan Kanga participated in a panel discussion, Australia Regional Perspectives, moderated by Dr Fiona Simon, CEO Australian Hydrogen Council, alongside speakers Isaac Hinton Head of Australia, InterContinental Energy and Daniel Tas Sandermann, Chief Commercial Officer, Hysata.

The discussion explored Australia’s growing role in the global hydrogen economy, the importance of international collaboration, and the pathways needed to accelerate commercial deployment. It was an opportunity to share the results of research supported by the Department of Industry and the NSW Government.

The Summit also provided an excellent opportunity to further strengthen our relationship with the Netherlands Government and deepen engagement between the Australian and European hydrogen ecosystems.

Rux Energy UK Business Development Manager Robert Edge and Dr Jehan Kanga connected with Dr Greg French the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands as well as existing partners National Composites Centre, ZESTAs, Mitsubishi Corp, ELIRE, XXConcepts, EODev, ITA Polska, Geopura and potential new collaborators and customers.
