Rux Energy was proud to host industry leaders, partners and government representatives to launch the Australian Industrial Decarbonisation Council (AIDC) on 23 July 2026.
The launch marks an important milestone for Australia’s industrial transition. The Council’s rebranding reflects a broader vision and a stronger mandate: bringing together industry, government and international partners to accelerate the decarbonisation of Australia’s industrial sector. By uniting diverse stakeholders under a single banner, the AIDC will play a critical role in driving investment, innovation and collaboration as Australia works towards a more sustainable future.
The event was also an opportunity for Rux Energy to share its techno-economic modelling outcomes for energy storage for large energy consumers such as data centres. The modelling demonstrates that Rux Energy Hydrogen Energy Storage Systems are a sustainable solution for static energy storage. We are grateful for the support from the Department of Industry and NSW Department of Climate Change Energy Environment and water in enabling this research.

The event also included presentations from AIDC CEO Fiona Simon, and Hydgene CEO Louise Brown who spoke passionately about the significance of a unified industry voice in accelerating Australia’s transition to a low-carbon economy.
