Rux Energy was proud to host Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, at its laboratories in Cicada Innovations, Sydney on 17 June 2025.. Governor Whitmer was hosted by Investment NSW who visited Sydney with top senior level representation from the Michigan National Guard and the Michigan Office of Defence and Aerospace Innovation for the invite-only event: NSW – Michigan: Discovering Opportunities for Collaboration in Defence and Aerospace.
Michigan is a global leader in advanced manufacturing and innovation, actively pursuing collaborations that strengthen its defence and aerospace capabilities. The event enabled Rux Energy and CEO and Co-Founder Dr Jehan Kanga, to demonstrate its hydrogen storage technology as an example of advanced capabilities that align with AUKUS Pillar 2 priorities to “foster new technologies, new capabilities joint manufacturing partnerships, and integrate into critical supply chains.”, including for the maritime sector, It was also of great value to learn about key Michigan initiatives like the Michigan Maritime Manufacturing (M3) initiative, which is designed to create joint opportunities in manufacturing, workforce development, and supply chain integration.
