Case Studies

Heavy Trucking

Rux Energy provides an opportunity to enable hydrogen as a fuel for heavy trucking facilitating more than 20 tonnes of payload, more than 350 km in range, and with less than 15-minute refuelling time, with potentially 1 tonne CO2e abatement for every tonne of Rux nanomaterial per year.

Maritime Sector

Rux Energy can play a key role in decarbonising maritime operations

Especially for shore power, tug boats and short-sea shipping, with its breakthrough hydrogen storage solutions.

We expect that every tonne of installed Rux Energy nanomaterial will abate up to 1 tonne of CO2e emissions per year.

Rail Sector

Rux Energy hydrogen storage solutions can decarbonise the long distance heavy rail sector, especially freight locomotives with ranges up to 1000 km, operating in remote and inaccessible regions where electrification or battery operation is not feasible, and enable abatement of 5 CO2e tonnes emissions for every tonne of Rux nanomaterial used per year.

Heavy Industry

Rux Energy’s hydrogen storage solutions are a game changer for the decarbonisation of the heavy industry sector, one of the most challenging sectors to decarbonise. Rux Energy solutions can enable the replacement of natural gas by hydrogen, every tonne of Rux Energy nanomaterial will abate 1 tonne of CO2e emissions, on an ongoing basis, each year.

Aviation

Rux Energy hydrogen storage solutions with conformable tanks can provide zero emission fuel over long distances without increasing energy loads from drag, potentially providing up to 1 tonne of CO2e emissions abatement for every tonne of MOF nanomaterial used per year.
